Summer SOL Remediation and Testing

Archives

In the event your child did not pass an SOL test, he/she may have the opportunity to retake the test during the summer.    Patrick Henry High School will offer summer remediation and testing sessions in July and August for courses shown below.  These sessions are offered free of charge as an enhancement to the curriculum.   Summer remediation sessions offer a unique opportunity for students to work in a relaxed environment in small groups.  The success rate for students who attend summer remediation sessions has traditionally been high.  I strongly encourage parents and students to consider this opportunity.

Students must participate in remediation sessions before retaking SOL tests.  Students should attend every day for the remediation sessions.  Parents and guardians must provide transportation for their students.

If summer participation is not possible, additional opportunities will be available in the fall.  If your child needs more than one test and you would like advice about which test to pursue, we will be happy to answer questions.  Please contact the Counseling Center at 365-8020.
