CELEBRATIONS!

On Thursday, May 26, we held our annual Hanover Scholars/Senior Awards Night.  The total scholarship money was over $1.3 million, $244,000 more than last year!  It was a really nice event, thanks to Career Counselor Kathy Konrad, School Counselor Erika Morck, and the entire Counseling Center staff.  Our students’ goals and college plans were impressive to hear!  Thank you to all the presenters who geneously gave of their time and money to support our seniors.

We could not have held such a nice Hanover Scholars/Student Awards event without the monetary support of the Hanover Education Foundation, who funded the reception and gave many scholarships to our students.  Thank you, Hanover Education Foundation and Director Margaret Hill!  Your support for Hanover County Public Schools is much appreciated.

The Girls & Boys Track & Field team braved the heat on Wednesday, May 25, at UVA to compete in the 5A North Region Championship.   The girls battled their way to a 3rd place overall finish while the boys compiled a 13th place finish out of 26 schools.  The following student-athletes scored in the meet by earning a top 8 finish.  Each student-athlete or relay team who placed in the top 6 will move on to the state championship.
