Sports Physicals

Patrick Henry High School will be holding a sports physical clinic on Thursday, June 2 from 3:30-6 p.m.  The physicals will be good for the 2016-2017 school year.  Physical are open to all Patrick Henry and Liberty students on a first come, first serve basis.  The cost is $20 and all proceeds go to the purchase of supplies for the Patrick Henry training room.  If you have any questions please contact Chris Garrett (cgarrett@hcps.us) or call the main office.

On Thursday, May 26, we held our annual Hanover Scholars/Senior Awards Night.  The total scholarship money was over $1.3 million, $244,000 more than last year!  It was a really nice event, thanks to Career Counselor Kathy Konrad, School Counselor Erika Morck, and the entire Counseling Center staff.  Our students’ goals and college plans were impressive to hear!  Thank you to all the presenters who geneously gave of their time and money to support our seniors.

We could not have held such a nice Hanover Scholars/Student Awards event without the monetary support of the Hanover Education Foundation, who funded the reception and gave many scholarships to our students.  Thank you, Hanover Education Foundation and Director Margaret Hill!  Your support for Hanover County Public Schools is much appreciated.

Library books due now

All library books are now due!  Students (and parents) can check to see if they have any library books checked out or overdue fines by going to Destiny Library Catalog and clicking on the “login” button in the top right hand corner.  Usernames are the student ID numbers and the passwords are birthdates (DDMMYY).  Once logged in, click on the “my info” tab which is above the top green bar to find books that have been checked out and any fines that may be owed to the library.  Overdue fines may be paid online through myschoolbucks.com, selecting library fines from the list and then entering the appropriate amount. Questions about books or fines can be directed to Mrs. Lent (tlent@hcps.us) or Mrs. Brown (mbrown@hcps.us) or by calling the library directly at 365-8036.
